Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine — a lipophilic peptide that competes with alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) at the melanocortin-1 receptor (MC1R) on melanocytes. α-MSH is the key signal that triggers melanin production in response to UV.
